Mebicar contains the active substance tetrametiltetraazabitsiklooktandion, which has the action similar to the natural metabolites. It provides its effect by influencing on hypothalamus emotional area and four neuromediator systems - GABA, cholinergetic, serotonergic and adrenergic, thus normalizing their level in the brain, such as increasing serotonin level and reducing noradrenalin level. It does not have influence on the dopaminergic systems.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Mebicar comes in the form of tablets. Each tablet contains active ingredient Mebicar (300 mg).
The tablets are taken orally independently of meals.
Dose for adults: 300 mg 2-3 times a day. Maximum single dose is 3000 mg, maximum daily dose is 10000 mg. The period of therapy is 2-3 months.
Dose for decreasing the addiction to smoking: 500-1000 mg a day during 5-6 weeks.
