The active substance of Stresam is etifoxine hydrochloride. It works by binding to β2 and β3 subunits of the GABAA receptor complex, as well as stimulating the biosynthesis of endogenous neurosteroids, namely 17-hydroxypregnenolone, dehydroepiandrosterone, progesterone and tetrahydroprogesterone.

PACKAGING & DOSAGE
Stresam comes in gelatine capsules. One pack contains 60 pills of 50mg each.
The dose and duration of treatment is determined individually depending on the condition.
The recommended dose is 50mg (1 pill) 3 times a day or 100mg (2 pills) 2 times a day.
The course of treatment typically lasts from 2-6 weeks.
Pills to be taken orally with water.
